Contractors, Please note:  We are moving the recycling out of the payment of the program. Any recyclables will contine to be paid from the recycler to you but you only have to submitt copies of the receipts to the county.  Your bid will only account for the work performed without deduction for the amount your recycle.  This should encourage you to recycle as much as possible for additional funds.

Stanly County is currently one of a few North Carolina Counties that have been awarded this State Grant to remove Abandoned Manufactured Homes.

Stanly County is also taking applications for voluntary removal of an abandoned manufactured home on your property.  If you would like an application, please call Tim Swaringen at 704-986-3801 or select the link AMHI application.  In order for you to participate in this program, you will need a DMV title, deed or other means to transfer ownership for the manufactured home. All taxes and leins paid on the manufactured home, the home empty of all personal or stored items, utitlities disconnected from the home, and be willing to contribute $350 toward the cost of removal of the home will need to be completed.
